The 134th IATP Conference was successfully held at the LN Garden Hotel in Guangzhou, China, from 10 to 14 October 2026, bringing together 552 delegates representing Airlines, Associate Members and Authorised Guest Vendors from around the world. The conference was kindly sponsored by China Southern Technics and supported by GAMECO.

The conference once again provided a valuable platform for collaboration, operational discussions and strengthening partnerships across the global aviation technical community. Participants held over 4,800 scheduled B2B meetings, during which airlines and partners discussed and finalised cooperation agreements covering spare parts support, aircraft recovery, ground equipment and line maintenance arrangements for the upcoming operational seasons.

Representatives of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) attended the official opening of the conference.

Pooling project and other IATP updates

The APU and Landing Gear projects remain under evaluation as potential additions to IATP’s pooling activities.

During Summer Season 2026, IATP introduced its new platform, hosted on Microsoft Azure cloud. Two sessions were held during the conference to familiarize the members with the features of this new platform.

In addition, the first version of the IATP conference application was launched at the 134th Conference, marking a further step in the organisation’s ongoing investment in digital tools for its members.

Aviation supply chain challenges and outlook

A new session led by Mr. Leo Ma, Oliver Wyman Principal on “Aviation Supply Chain Challenges and Outlook” was a highlight of the programme. The session offered delegates an engaging industry perspective on supply chain challenges and the outlook for the aviation sector, adding a valuable dimension to the conference discussions.

Membership Growth

A record of seven new airline members joined IATP during the conference: MSC Air (CP), Air Cairo (SM), Air Europa (UX), Parata Air (WE), Challenge Air Cargo (X6), YTO Cargo Airlines (YG) and Titan Airways (ZT). Five airlines attended as observers to learn more about IATP and assess potential membership.

The next IATP Conference will be held in Athens, Greece, from 13 to 17 March 2027, hosted by Aegean. We look forward to welcoming our global membership once again.
