The IATP Semi-annual Conference offers a multitude of events that allow attendees to connect with over 130 airlines from around the world. This unique venue gives you the opportunity to conduct your pooling business – whether it's spare parts or line maintenance – in the most efficient manner while allowing you to share your industry knowledge, network, reunite with colleagues, and much more!
The 129th IATP Conference took place in the wonderful LN Garden Hotel in Guangzhou, China, on February 24 – 28, 2024. The conference was attended by more than 500 Airline, Associate Member and Authorized Guest Vendor’s representatives coming from all over the world. IATP thanks once again GAMECO, the hosting company, for the strong support, as well as all the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Sponsors for their contribution to this successful conference.
As usual more than 1,900 B2B meetings took place among the participants to discuss and finalize terms and conditions for pooling agreements regarding spare parts, aircraft recovery equipment and line maintenance support for the forthcoming season.
Based on the success achieved at Istanbul conference, also at this event the delegates were able to attend the “AOG Speed Meetings”, scheduled as Airline to Airline and Airline to Associate Members; also, this time very positive feedback was received from the participants.
After years of research and efforts, Guangzhou saw the launch of the IATP Engine Pooling: it is a short-term lease dedicated to unscheduled engine removal. The goal of this additional pooling section, is to help the Airline to resolve quickly and efficiently these very critical situations.
In fact, by having a pre-arranged contractual framework implying all legal aspects and pre-defined logistic steps, the IATP Engine pooling aims to allow the engine shipment in 24 hours from the initial request. By paying a monthly engine participation fee, the Member Airlines may also count on guaranteed engine availability.
The engine types include regional, narrow body and wide body aircrafts. At this first step IATP only counts on one engine provider; the team is working to add more lessors.
While 4 Observer Airlines joined the 129th Conference, IATP warmly welcomed 3 new Airline Members and 3 new Associate Members, reaching another new record of 133 Airline Members and 43 Associate Members!
The next IATP Conference will take place on October 5 – 9, 2024, in Cairo, Egypt. We look forward to meeting you there!
