The International Airlines Technical Pool (IATP) is a convention of airlines made up of over 100 Member Airlines, 40 “Guest” Airlines, and around 35 service providers (called Associate Members). In the spirit of co-operation, members of the aviation industry gather twice yearly to discuss sharing of resources, reducing costs, while improving operating efficiency. Under its auspices, members share aircraft recovery kits, aircraft parts and tooling, Line Maintenance services and ground handling equipment.
The membership has grown to boast 400 delegates around the world, making it a diverse and multi-cultural community. There are no boundaries and every member is encouraged to bring forward their ideas, suggestions and opinions without any political prejudice. In the spirit of a "global village" environment, IATP promotes goodwill towards all its members, explores new directions within the frame of its mission, and respects the interest of all member airlines.
Within its 75-year history promoting unparalleled safety in the skies, this association has not only contributed immensely to the aviation industry as we know it today, but has also forged strong bonds between airlines around the world. Competing airlines are united in the technical field. This bond, which began in 1948, was originally based solely on a gentlemen's agreement. With the dawn of the 21st century propelling IATP forward, its mission to provide excellent technical performance in aircraft operations is unmatched due to the high degree of mutual assistance from all member airlines.
IATP governance is assured by a Board of Directors while the day-to-day activities are managed by a Corporate Office. Several Project Groups and Committees have been set up in order to address current industry challenges and maintain the IATP to the highest levels of expertise.
The IATP is a convention of Airlines sharing Technical Resources to generate economic savings and support on time dispatch reliability and operational safety.

The IATP Semi-annual Conference offers a multitude of events that allow attendees to connect with over 100 airlines from around the world. This unique venue gives you the opportunity to conduct your pooling business – whether it's spare parts or line maintenance – in the most efficient manner while allowing you to share your industry knowledge, network, reunite with colleagues, and much more!
The 127th Conference is getting closer and the event organization team is collaborating with our supporting Member Airline, Gulf Air, to finalize the last details.
IATP Team is working on the membership growth and hopes to welcome new potential members and observers at the Conference. The conference schedule has been slightly modified to optimize the participation in different sessions, such as the Engine Pooling and the Third-Party Pooling Project Group meetings, now scheduled on Saturday March 11 in the afternoon. Once again, an SGHA Familiarization and a Line Maintenance Regulatory Training will be arranged. As usual, first time attendees and all delegates who would like to refresh their knowledge on the IATP-related activities will have the chance to attend Introduction sessions about Parts Pooling, Aircraft Recovery, IATP Invoicing, and Senior Delegates’ responsibilities and duties. In addition, considering the high turnover in the IATP delegates, the IATP Team will conduct an informative session on the platform operations and enhancements, followed by a Q&A; the session is scheduled on Tuesday March 14 in the afternoon. We warmly invite you to join this meeting should you have any questions for the IATP Team; don’t forget to bring your laptop!
For additional information, please check the updated schedule in the Practical Information tab.
The registration is open until the 8th of February, don’t miss the deadline!
Please also make sure to apply in advance for your VISA – if required; we recommend you to apply one month prior to the event at the latest.
